Watershed Technologies utilizes a patented stormwater treatment technology with development dating back to the year 2000. Our hybrid treatment systems are comprised of both wetland and chemical components, which are designed to minimize costs and constraints of both wetlands (footprint) and chemical treatment processes (ongoing coagulant expense). Synergies are created between the unit processes and exploited to maximize performance.
The primary goals of the systems are to reduce contaminants in stormwater and other water bodies, including phosphorus and nitrogen, while preserving and enhancing the environment.
Our technology overcomes the major drawbacks of standard approaches by requiring relatively small land areas (needed for treatment wetlands) and reducing chemical additives through specialized techniques.
